Included here are the usability projects I worked on while part of Full Sail User Experience Research Center.
Might and Magic x: Legacy
(Ubisoft & Limbic Entertainment)
I personally reached out to Limbic Entertainment & Ubisoft in order to offer them the opportunity for free usability testing as well as give the Full Sail User Experience team the chance for more experience in conducting usability tests. I was lead on this project, facilitating the actual tests as well as recruiting participants for the tests. The Limbic Entertainment team was so pleased with the report that they were interested in performing additional usability tests with the lab.
Wargaming.net
While working with the Full Sail User Experience Center team I helped on many projects for Wargaming.net as they are the major supporter for the User Experience lab. Many of the projects have dealt with their title World of Tanks.
Battle Worlds: Kronos
(KING Art Games)
Develeped by KING Art Games. We had an extensive report for Battle Worlds: Kronos that mentioned many issues that participants had while playing through the game. Some of the issues were as simple as localization issues all the way to major issues that affected the participants play experience. KING Art Games were extremely pleased with the report for our first test that they had us do a second test for the game, just before it released, that had many of the issues from the first test fixed according to our recommendations to them. Besides wanting to do a second usability test with the lab, KING Art Games also gave each individual member of the UX Lab team credits in the game.
Incognita
(Klei Entertainment)
Developed by Klei Entertainment. The title was recently changed to Invisible, Inc. We received this projects very early in it's Alpha phase and part of what Klei Entertainment wanted from the usability test were ideas on what to put into a tutorial for the game.
Soldier Front 2
(Aeria Games)
Published by Aeria Games. For this game we ran a standard usability test to find out specific issues that needed to be addressed in the game.
Teslagrad
(Rain Games)
Developed by Rain Games. Recently released (as of Jan. 2014). This was the first project that I facilitated for. The game when we received it was in very late beta and was extremely polished. The main purpose of the test was to see if the mechanics of the game were easy for the players to comprehend.
Path of Exile
(Grinding Gear Games)
Developed by Grinding Gear Games. The test for this title for a general usability test to find out overall issues players had while playing the game.
