Impromptu Studios - Audio Lead (May, 2014 - August, 2014)
A side project that was started from a posting on Blizzard Entertainment's page on Linkedin basically asking if people were interested in getting together and creating a game in hopes of having something to add to ones resume. I volunteered my time to lead a team of fellow audio enthusiasts. I mainly volunteered since the other audio team members either had a job or were in school while I myself was freshly out of school and job searching, so I had a lot of time on my hands. Why not keep myself busy?
My duties as audio lead for my time was basically trying to get the members into the mindset of the project while the design team did it's work. The actual structuring of the team and how it functioned was a pretty much play by ear as none of us had really worked in a studio and experienced how they usually ran their day to day routines so we worked together to find a way for everything to work out.
Many of the projects we did while I led the team were soundscapes or concept audio for the world the game would take place in. I myself also completed many of these projects as I was also learning how to be part of an audio team and it's best to lead by example. Included on this page are some of the audio assets I completed for the unreleased project (which was later scrapped) while I was with the studio.
